A Wrinkle In Thyme Farm
Farm, Flock, and Fiber
In 2018 I had the honor of working on A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm where I learned all about sheep husbandry, processing wool and fiber arts. I had always been a weaver, but needle felting, yarn dyeing, knitting and spinning were all new to me. I was amazed and thrilled to find a new passion in my fifties!
After learning about acid dyes, I became curious about natural dyes. I left the farm that spring, and drove my camper van to the state of Washington. I picked flowers and interesting plants along the way, put them in my dye pot, and experimented with colors on wool yarn and silks. Twenty eight samples later, I was hooked.
Since then, I added botanical printing, felting, and spinning to my repertoire, and I have not looked back. I am so grateful to work hand in hand with Nature and create amazing pieces of art that act as a gift to me and a gift to others every time they are given or sold.
